Carl Rector Obituary
Memorial services for Carl "Bud" Rector, 78, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the North Jackson Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Dodrill officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Arrington Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Bud was born in Logan, IL the son of the late Carl F. and Irene Dial Rector. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed in the Oil Industry working for several companies including Allied Oil Well Service, Santa Maria Production, G. & O. Production, Homestake, Husky Oil and Marathon Oil. He was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church of Jackson, TN.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of fifty-seven years, Donna McCollum Rector of Jackson; three daughters, Kathryn Werkmeister (John) of Denver, CO, Janet Lee Mathewson (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL ad Susan Stogdell (James) of Bakersfield, CA; a brother, Lee Rector (Phyllis) and two sisters, Elaine Shelton and Sheryl Smith (John) and ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yulanda Parker.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of W. Tennessee, 1804 Hwy 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305 or the American Cancer Society, 2935 Hwy 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.

I did not meet "Bud" Rector but I know most of his family and to have raised such wonderful kids shows me what a loving man he must have been. My heart goes out to the family. Rest in peace.

Kathy and John,
I know how very hard it is to loose a parent. I do not know how you are feeling but I do know how I felt when I lost mine. May you remember the good times.
