David Tognazzini Obituary

DAVID PAUL
TOGNAZZINI

1984 - 2009

David Paul Tognazzini, 24 of Guadalupe, passed away suddenly on Thursday January 1, 2009 in Guadalupe. David was born on July 8, 1984 in Santa Maria at Marian Hospital. He was born to Arthur and Dolores (Cournoyer) Tognazzini of Guadalupe California. He was the youngest of five and fifth generation of Tognazzini's.
David attended Joe Nightingale Elementary School, Lakeview Jr. High, and Ernest Righetti High School class of 2002. As a young child he was an outstanding athlete, winning numerous awards in Orcutt Youth Football, Baseball, and Basketball. While attending Ernest Righetti High he was a member of the wrestling team and was involved in FFA. After Graduating from High School he started working at Rosa's Italian Restaurant, in Pismo Beach. The first two years he was a server and then was promoted to a position he longed for, Bartender. He loved working at Rosa's and while being there for 5 years, he met many people from all walks of life. While at work, he touched many lives causing ordinary customers to become loyal customers and many even became friends. While he was not at work, David enjoyed spending his time with friends and family. Loving the many moments at Nacimento Lake, while cruising his boat and the Oceano Dunes tearing up the sand in his Ranger. And also finding a new love on the slopes of Sierra Summit with snow boarding, and of course who can forget his off roading on his family owned ranch.
He is most remembered by his adventurous, outgoing personality, and humorous lifestyle we will never forget. When walking into a room, his magnetism was felt by everyone. He loved being with people and strived to live life to the fullest. We are always going to remember him as the man he was and the man he was becoming.
David is survived by his father, Arthur M. Tognazzini, his three brothers, Craig Tognazzini and wife Cindy of Acton, CA, Christopher Tognazzini and his wife Kristy of Santa Maria, CA, Scott Tognazzini of Guadalupe, CA, and sister Annette Zambrano and husband Richard of Paso Robles, CA. He also has two nieces Madeline and Sophia Zambrano and two nephews Hunter and Cody Tognazzini.
David is preceded in Death by his loving and caring mother Dolores (Cournoyer) Tognazzini. We are thankful to know that he will be with her, hand in hand protecting our family together as our Guardian Angels. David will be missed by all the lives he has touched in his 24 years of life.
The Rosary service will be held on Thursday January 8th at 5:30pm, viewing at 4:30 pm at St. Louis de Montfort Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9th at 10:00 am at St. Louis de Montfort Church. Interment will follow in the Guadalupe Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the David Tognazzini Fund at Rabobank with the proceeds to benefit The Friends of Oceano Dunes and Oructt youth sports.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.

I will always remember that high spirited cajoling boy bouncing back and forth between the bases on the baseball field daring the pitchers or the catchers to "try" and get him out. Beeming with a huge smile more times than not he would stretch a base hit into two or three all the while Art would be yelling, "David, get back on the base." We will miss his vibrance, his honesty, and his "genuineness." We love you Tognazzini family and stand beside you in your grief.
Love Karen, Kacey, and JB (Cadence too)

It breaks my heart to hear about what happened to David. I loved him dearly and always looked forward to seeing his smiling face when I came home. I was lucky enough to get to go to Junior Prom with him and get to bond with him as true, eternal friends. I am certain that David is in heaven and I will hold him in my heart forever.

To the Tognazzini Family, I wish I had known David for many, many years and was able to share many memories of him, however I am honored to have known him for the time that I did. He truly was a precious gift given to many of us even though it was for a short time. When I would have a rough day I could go to Rosas and see him and he would make my day. I thank God that he allowed me to meet him and have him in my life. He was so loving and caring. To the family, you are all in my prayers and thank you for raising such a wonderful man. I will miss David immensly. May God Bless you now and always.

We remember David's dazzling personality, warm smile and quick wit. Many a day he kept us running to keep one step ahead of his humor and spunkiness. We enjoyed each and every moment we had being his teachers. He definitely kept us on our toes and we loved every minute! We joyfully remember this fine young boy and share your sadness. We will always remember that sparkle in his eyes and tenderness in his heart.

I'm very saddened to hear of David's untimely passing. He always had a larger than life personality and mischievous smile for everyone in my 7th grade English class at Lakeview Junior High. He was one of my favorite students and was always a charmer. His energy and light will be missed by all who knew him.
