Dear Daisy,
I just discovered Donn has passed. I had called him several times recently and realized it was uncharacteristic of him to not return my calls. I had a premonition to search for his name and thus I discovered his obituary.
Patty and I extend to you our deepest condolences.
As you probably are aware, Donn and I were fraternity brothers at Stanford and we kept in touch all of these years. I would like to notify the Stanford Alumni office and ask them to include news of Donn's passing in the next Alumni Association magazine. Would that be all right with you?

Dear Daisy, please accept my sincerest condolences in your loss and sorrow. It is my greatest regret that I did not meet you and Donn at the Swiss Celebration last month. God bless you and keep you in His care.
