Donna Burrow Obituary
1937 - 2025
Donna Marie Burrow passed away on November 11 in San Luis Obispo at age 88. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Robert (Bob) Burrow, and her brother, Garry Salmon.
Donna was born in Atoka, Oklahoma on April 22, 1937. She grew up on the Central Coast, and graduated from Santa Maria High School, where she met her husband, Bob. As the wife of a schoolteacher, they lived in Gunnison, Colorado, Paradise Canyon, Boonville, Santa Maria and Nipomo.
Donna lived the majority of her life in Nipomo, where she and her husband raised their four daughters. Donna loved reading and usually had multiple books going at a time and was an avid seamstress and quilter. She camped every summer at beloved Chiquito Creek for as long as she could.
Donna was a member of the Choctaw Nation, and she enjoyed working as a volunteer Native American educator in local schools and was a passionate amateur archaeologist with a special interest in the local Chumash history.
Donna is survived by her children: Sharon Buckley (Chuck) of Los Osos; Sandi Ramones (Tom) of Arroyo Grande: Diane Bowen of Oklahoma; Denise Chancey of Nipomo; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Donna was a nurturing parent and grandparent, with endless patience and a constant loving presence.
A private memorial service will be held for her at a later date.

I enjoyed visiting with her, she was a lovely lady and very appreciative of the staff who took care of her. We would have a good time discussing what was going on with the Waltons TV show, or whatever family show was on.
You were very fortunate to have such a loving mom!

I always loved her, she was so good to me & I had no idea at the time of all her goodness, it isn't until you get old yourself & realize these things. Sending my love & condolences.
