Edmund Meireles Obituary
January 6, 1948 - July 14, 2025
Orcutt - Orcutt mourns the loss of Edmund "Eddie" Meireles, born January 6, 1948, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, who passed away July 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Known as "everyone's Uncle," Eddie was a cherished father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His laughter, love, and Blues music filled lives with joy. A dedicated Orcutt Lions Club member, he served generously after careers at Holly Sugar Factory and Marian Hospital. He is survived by his devoted children, Annette Meireles and Nathan Meireles; his beautiful sister, Mary (Jim) Branch; his niece, Charlene Reagan, whom he raised as his own; his grandchildren, Bryan Moody, Zachary Moody, Logan Minnoch, and Zoe Meireles, nieces, nephews, friends, and numerous family members in and along the East coast. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, his mother, and his stepfather.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held. Celebration of Life: August 16, 2025, 3:00 PM.
An unforgettable man. May you rest in peace, Eddie. Your laughter, generosity, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

I have known Eddie since I was a little kid. He worked with my Sad at the Sugar plant and we´re close friends for years. When seeing him out and about and talking he would always ask about family and how everybody was doing . Gonna miss seeing his face and smile around Orcutt. Rest Easy Eddie. Say Hi to my Pops for me
