Emiko Minami Obituary
Mrs. Emiko Minami, age 66, passed away February 6, 2011 in a local hospital. She was born in Wyoming on May 6. 1944 to Tom and Fumiko Honda. She was the youngest of three children. Her family moved to Los Angeles when she was little and she grew up in Gardena, Ca. She married Roy Minami in 1977 and raised one daughter, Jodee in Santa Maria.
Emi is survived by her husband, Roy; her daughter, Jodee; her brother Richard and his wife Bich; her husband's Aunt Toshiko, Uncle Mitsugu and Aunt Fumi; several brother and sister in-laws, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00am at the Guadalupe Buddhist church in Guadalupe, CA with Reverend Shuichi Kurai of Montebello, CA officiating. Burial will follow in the Guadalupe Cemetery. Visitations will be Friday, from 3:00 - 7:00 pm at the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary.
Friends if they so desire can make memorial contributions in Emiko's name to the Guadalupe Buddhist Church, 1072 Olivera St., Guadalupe, CA 93434.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.
