Maurice Alford Obituary
December 17, 1929 January 18, 2022
Maurice "Al " Alford, 92 years old, passed peacefully January 18, 2022 in Nipomo, CA. Born in Dallas, Texas to L.B. and Allie Alford, he served in the US Army and Navy from 1948-1955 after which he moved to Tucson, AZ where he he earned a BS in Engineering from the University of Arizona and served as a police officer until 1960. He then moved to California and became a successful agent for State Farm Insurance in Salinas. He retired at age 72, later settling in Nipomo, CA. He was preceded in death by his son Edrik Alford in 2014, and Loraine Wheeler-Alford in 2021. He is survived by his daughter Evonda Alford, Sherry Alford Schlung, six grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
