Soledad Felix Obituary
Soledad Corral Felix was called to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2010 surrounded by her family at the beautiful age of 97. Soledad was born to Tomas and Francisca Corral on June 23, 1913 in Durango, Mexico.
Soledad was preceded in death by her parents Tomas and Francisca Corral; siblings Jose, Doreteo and Concepcion Corral; husband Liborio Felix; daughter Socorro Herrera and son-in-law Jesus Marrufo.
Soledad was a resident of Santa Maria for 37 years. Before coming to the United States Soledad was a school teacher for over twenty years in Durango, Mexico. She loved to write and recite religious poems for her church and family. She was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters Manuela Marrufo, Catalina (Henry) Muro, Guadalupe (Florencio) Carrasco, Francisca (Luis) Sanchez, Florencia (Carlos) Hernandez, Hilda (Pat) Teniente, Gela (Raymundo) Murillo, Graciela (Martin) Reyes and son Victor Felix; 51 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren.
Viewing took place Thursday, July 15th beginning at 3:00pm with the service at 6:00 - 8:00pm at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary under the direction of Pastor Bud Silva from Coast Hills Baptist Church. Interment will be on Friday after a service beginning at 10:00am at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Santa Maria Cemetary.

Familia Felix, los acompanamos en este tiempo tan dificil. Pero todos sabemos que su mama querida ya esta descansando y viviendo en el paraiso con Nuestro Senior Padre en el cielo. Siempre la recordaremos como la buena y hermosa persona que era. No pierdan la fe, algun dia la veremos otra vez. Para mi Mama Sole--una mujer con tanto sabiduria y tanto amor por su familia--siempre estaras en mi corazon....siempre voy ser su morenaza...dile papa bollo que un dia esteramos todos juntos y me voy a llevar el juego aggrevation....

Querida Mamá Sole-- La extraño y extrañare siempre. Llevaré conmigo, todos los dias de mi vida, los dulces recuerdos que me dejó. Los recuerdos de cuando me enseño a tejer con estambre, cuando me llamaba al trabajo para decirme lo que cocino y si queria ir a su casa a la hora de mi almuerzo. Todo muy rico especialmente sus frijolitos esquisitos. Tambien llevaré conmigo el recuerdo de cuando me leia sus poisias y me platicaba de sus muchas plantas y flores. Gracias por ser la abuelita perfecta. Que descanse junto a nuestro Dios y junto con mi Papá Bollo. La quiero mucho.

Mama Sole nunca la voy a olvidar. Tengo tantas memorias con usted des de nina sentada por horas haciendo rompecabezas, caminando a la tiendita El Torito, sentadas bajo del puente en la playa Avila, jugando canicas con mi papa bollo y muchas mas memorias. La extrano mas que nunca. Muchos Besos.
