Sonia Hernandez Obituary
On December 8, 2012, at the young age of 43, Sonia Hernandez is on a new, but old journey. Due to complications stemming from her 31 year old fight with Lupus, she has now passed, but will always be with us!
Sonia is survived by her loving husband, Jesus Vega, her sons David and Steven Hernandez, and daughter, Jessica Vega (Santa Maria), her mother Elva Cardona (Guadalupe) and father Miguel Hernandez (Tanglewood), by her two brothers Michael and Gabriel Hernandez (Guadalupe), her Sister Mika Hernandez (Tanglewood), her two grandchildren Joseph Angel Hernandez (Santa Maria) and Sade Jocelyn Hernandez (Dallas, TX), and many many more aunts uncles nieces nephews cousins friends and children that admired her so much and often looked up to her for advice and more importantly, Love. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Sonia showed us what being a fighter is all about, but also taught us that love is the greatest gift and lesson that life has to offer. No matter how hard life was, she fought, she fought to her last breath, literally, but she went in peace.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held on December 29, 2012. The location has been undecided, but we are hoping for a spot at Waller Park. For any inquiries, please call David Hernandez at 805-714-1973.
The family would like to thank the staff and techs at the Santa Maria Dialysis Center who cared after Sonia for many years. To Kiana, her Peritoneal nurse, and to her special angel, Angel, her nurse at the Dialysis Center...From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you and we love you.
