Daniel Stanley Obituary

MIDDLE GROVE - Daniel R. Stanley, 54, a Middle Grove resident for eight years, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home, with his wife and children by his side, after a brief illness.
Dan was born Feb. 19, 1958, in Troy and was the son of the late William and Arlene (Gregory) Stanley.
He was a foreman for School House Pools in Amsterdam.
His hobbies included going to Hampton Beach, and he was an avid NASCAR collector and a big fan of the New England Patriots.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as his beloved cats.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Beth A. (Garceau) Stanley; his loving children, Amanda (Kyle) Clinton of Saratoga Springs and Joseph (Beverly) Stanley of Lake Wales, Fla.; his brothers, William Stanley and Joseph Stanley; his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy Clinton, Mir'sadie Kennedy, Calvin Kennedy and Azalia Polley; and his goddaughter, Gracie May Powers.
He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Brida and Alexander Garceau.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, in memory of Daniel R. Stanley.
