Please accept my condolences to all David’s family and friends, he was a remarkable person and will be missed by all who had the honor to have been a part of his life. I was head coach when David played football and I remember what an outstanding player he was and an even better person. He always had a smile and a reason to laugh, he was very popular with players and cos alike. We had a very tough team back then and a very tough schedule, we played the best teams we could find. David was not only a starter but he was first team all-league as a junior and a senior. David was undersized compared to his team mates but what he lacked in size he made up with heart and toughness. I along with so many will miss him , toga lost one of their best, RIP my fr, love you, Blade Iuliano

Worked with Dave for many years at KSO, both for EB & NNS. I am now retired but we go way back at KSO. Dave was a great person and a hard worker, we worked on lots of projects with Dave and attended many of his classes when he became an instructor. He was truly professional in every thing he did. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time. RIP Digger.

Dave was one on my favorite class instructors here at the Kesselring site I actually used to prepare myself the night before because I knew he would be challenging me which made for a fun filled day, He cared so much about his craft and instilled in us the importance of why we do what we do **Rest Easy Dave you will be missed*

Dave was always motivated. He took a lousy looking day and brought light to it. He always had a couple of minutes to speak with you throughout the day.
He will certainly be missed.
Until we meet again my friend!
Wishing that the good Lord comforts his family.
Sincerely,
Eddie Mosso

I met Dave years ago when Newport News Shipbuilding sent me to the Kesselring Site several times to mentor him and another Instructor while they were learning to teach new courses. Although I did not know Dave outside of work, I can tell you he was very talented and already qualified to teach many different courses. The students in class would always give Dave a hard time but it never seemed to bother him. He was about as easy going of a person that I ever met. Dave was also generous and thought enough of me to have his girlfriend embroider my name, "Training", the atom symbol and "KSO" on a nice, collared shirt.
I will miss Dave and am very sorry that he passed at the same age as I am now and that he did not get to enjoy retirement. My condolences and prayers to all of his family and friends.
Sincerely,
Ronald W. Miller Jr. (Chip)

I worked with Dave for many years at West Milton, along with the late Peter Galor. When Dave needed something you got it for him and you never questioned it. He always got the job done. Then 20 years ago after marrying my wife Kristine Woodcock I learned that Dave was part of my extended family. What a nice surprise and what a small world it truly is. Dave was an amazing guy. I’m proud to have known him and have worked with him. Our sincearest condolences to the Diggins family.
