Erik Mueller Obituary
Born March 18, 1968, in Albany, he is a son of Josef Charles and Priscilla (Harling) Mueller Jr. On June 23, 2001, he married his love of 23 years, the former Eva Villano.
A graduate of Stillwater Central School District, Erik went on to Ohio Diesel Tech in Cleveland.
"Mule-Train," as he was known when he rode his Harley Davidson, also loved being outdoors, especially deer hunting, playing for the Stillwater Tigers, taking trips with Eva in their fifth wheel, camping and boating at the Schuyler Yacht Basin. He also was known for "Erik's Finest Maple Syrup."
Mr. Mueller was also a parishioner of Stillwater United Church. Earlier, he was a volunteer firefighter for Arvin Hart Fire Company.
Erik cared greatly for his community, one that will deeply miss him.
Survivors in addition to his parents and wife, Eva Mueller, include his brothers, Josef C. (Linda) Mueller of Concord, Mass., Andrew D. (Kathy Wiesmore) of Stillwater, Jonathan P. (Patricia) Mueller of Stillwater, Tammy (Steve) Gori and several other foster siblings; and his stepsons, William D. Mansfield of Mechanicville and Robert A. Mansfield of Stillwater. He is Poppy to William, Jonathan and Alexis, and Godfather to Marley Mueller and Hudson Treacy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Stillwater United Church on Hudson Avenue. Relatives and friends may gather in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
Memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, 124 Watertown St., Suite 2D, Watertown, MA 02472, in Erik's honor.
Arrangements were made by Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, Stillwater, 664-3731.

Eva and family,

I loved by cousin Erik very much. I am heartbroken that he is gone. I have so many fond memories of our conversations over the years, his great personality, great sense of humor, and how much joy he brought to others. I felt so connected to Erik in a way that I cannot explain and this has been a big loss for me as well as others that loved him. Erik was the the most genuine person I have ever known and he truly touched my life over the years. I never forgot how much I loved and cared about him as he was such a very special person. I always wished we had lived closer so we could visit more often but you know how it is - we all get caught up in our day-to-day life problems, and ups and downs and somehow life just slips away. Love is forever in my heart and I have so many fond memories of you and your family that I will never forget. I send my love to all of you.

With deepest sympathy and fond memories of Erik and the Mueller family and boys when Diane and I visited them when they were young boys in N.Y. and Erik's wedding.
Erik was a gentle giant and a compassionate, dedicated, honorable man, cousin, and friend.

Erik, I love you and miss you so much! It hurts so much. I know you are with us guiding us through this because you never wanted anyone to be sad. You always knew what to say to make me laugh. To the entire Mueller family...There are never any good words to say at this point in time. Giving our fond memories of Erik will hopefully bring a smile to his families face, as this is how he would want it... I went to school with Erik and whenever he saw me, he'd give me one of those BIG Bear hugs and as we grew into adults he would do the same when we would run into one another around town.. My deepest condolences to all of the Mueller family members for your loss of such a vibrant soul. I have many fond memories growing up as neighbors on Dunn Road. One favorite is when all of their live stock escaped and made its way up the hill to graze on our front lawn and Erik had to ride up like a knight on a horse to round them up and herd them back to their farm. Erik also taught me how to drive a 3-speed on the column on the back field roads between our farms. I could go on forever - I won't, but Erik's loving soul will. His smile & laugh and just his genuine kindness and caring for anyone and everyone, but especially for his family & friends - these are just a few of the things that I know I will never forget about Erik Mueller. Erik was one of a kind, always had that smile of his on his face and always happy and upbeat all throughout our childhood years, and as I saw him from time to time in our adult years.
