Even though George left us 5 years ago, he is still truly missed for his kindness, ability to work well with others and his leadership. George, you left us way too soon. We miss you everyday. Prayers and sympathy to his children, grandchildren and his wife Barbara.

Truly sad to hear of George's passing. What a great person he was! I worked with
George for 35+ years at GE. As a coworker he was kind, considerate, honest, and truly
took pride in his work. In the last years of my employment, he was my boss. He was truly gifted at dealing with and managing people.
He also was kind, helpful, and a pleasure
to talk to. He did everything and made sure things were done "by the book". He will truly be missed.
My sincere sympathy to his family. He has left us way too soon.

I was very saddened to hear of George's passing. I have so many great memories of him from my days as a scout in Troop 67. One thing that comes to mind is how he relished the weekly Scoutmaster's minute. One of his spiels went something like this:
If you want to know how important you are, put your hand in a bucket of water. Then take it out. The imprint your hand leaves on the water is about as great as the imprint you will leave on the world.
His life demonstrated otherwise.
He impacted so many boys in numerous ways: he gave us knowledge, structure, and guidance; he showed what good leadership looks like including the humility it requires and made us ready to exercise it ourselves. I'll always be grateful for his example.

George Locks was a strong, and compassionate man. He was the best of examples for our sons to emulate as their Scout master. Barbara and sons, may George's memory, and legacy, forever be a blessing to you all. Our sincerely felt condolences.

We are deeply saddened to hear about our friend George's passing, he made an immense difference in the lives of thousands of Scouts over the years. He was a true Scouter who "Dotted his "i's" and crossed his "t's" in great detail.
His love for the Klondike and Camp Boyhaven will forever be remembered.
Barbara, Kevin, and Brian, Thank You so much for sharing him with us all of these years. We are all at a loss.
Love,

I am sorry to hear of George's too early passing after his 'recent' retirement. I knew him for many years as a co-worker at GEGR in Niskayuna where I knew him as one of the go-to guys for his building and his people. He was always willing to help out, to find answers to problems, to pave the way for progress no matter the obstacles. I missed him when he retired. Now, I am sure everyone who knew him will miss him.

Dear Loucks Klan: It has been a privilege and honor to work with George over the almost forty years in Scouting. He was always concerned about the bottom line---the boys. I wish to you my condolences. I know that there will be many fond memories regarding this great man. Sincerely, Bob Baldwin (unit commissioner of troop 67 in the early 1980s)
