Ballston Lake, NY - Jane M. Layer, age 72, of Cypress Street, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 23, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Roger E. and J. Melva (Drady) Cutler.Jane graduated from Wakefield High School in Wakefield, MA. She went on to have a fulfilling career as an interior decorator with Di Siena Furniture in Albany, New York and Babette’s Furniture in Leesburg, FL.Jane’s most enjoyable times were returning to her beloved Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, NH. There she enjoyed boating, motorcycle touring, attending rally’s and visiting with friends and family. Jane and her husband enjoyed seventeen wonderful retirement years living in The Villages, Florida. During that time, she worked as a hostess at both Cane Garden and Mallory Hill Country Clubs.Jane is survived by her loving husband Howard A. Layer; her beloved son Howard A. Layer III; her dear sisters Judy (Bob) Berry and Joyce Ferrante; and her adoring grandchildren Justin, Isabelle, and Alessandra. Funeral will be private.
