Richard Mohrmann Obituary
Born April 28, 1941, in Schenectady, he was the son of the late William Herman Mohrmann and Genevieve Marie Booth.
Dick served the nation as a member of the U.S. Air Force and then for New York state for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995 as deputy superintendent at Mt. McGregor Correctional Facility.
He was a dedicated family man, devoted husband and proud father.
A quiet, reserved man, Dick was quick to donate his time or offer to help when needed and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Brett and Sadie.
He liked visiting the ocean and local beaches as well as his weekly routine with friends at downtown Saratoga Springs coffeeshops and the Saratoga Casino & Raceway.
Dick will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family and those fortunate to have known him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, John "Jack" and Robert Mohrmann.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Notaro Mohrmann of Saratoga Springs; his children, Richard J. Jr. and Robin M. Staigar, both of Saratoga Springs, and Joseph J. of Hendersonville, N.C.; his brother, William of Latham; and his grandchildren, Brett and Sadie.
Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, 584-5373. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Mohrmann, my sincere condolences to Mrs. M., Richie, Robin and Joey. Thinking of you all has brought back some much loved childhood memories. Trips to the beach and hanging out in your basement are some of the ways I will always remember Mr. Mohrmann.

Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Dick could always be counted on for some witty remark when things got nutty on the mountain. I enjoyed his friendship during our time at McGregor and looked forward to the brief encounters around town. I will always remember him as a great person.
