Warren Fisher Obituary

Warren “Bud” Fisher SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Warren “Bud” Fisher, 85, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on March 30, 1930 in Gloversville, he was the son of the late Corlous and Catherine (O’Grady) Fisher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged in 1956 he then joined the Naval Reserves before retiring in 1990. Bud was a proud member of the American Legion Post #233 in South Glens Falls as well as the F.O.E. #2486 in South Glens Falls. He stayed very active throughout his life and enjoyed time spent fishing, hunting and gardening. Bud adored his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Pemrick Fisher; as well as two brothers, Robert and Curtis Fisher. Survivors include his children, Amy Wilcox (Brian), of Middle Grove, Julie Wilde (Josh), of South Glens Falls, James Fisher (Robert Roeckle), of Middle Grove, Warren Maas, of Mayfield, Brian Maas (Donna), of Michigan, Katie Houser (Elliot), of Cherry Valley, and Karen Williams, of Gloversville; his loving companion, Dawn Chabot, and her daughter, Phyllis McRae (Jim), of South Glens Falls; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister, LaVina Blum, of N.J.; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Regan Denny Stafford Funeral Home, 53 Quaker Rd., Queensbury. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda, NY. In lieu of flowers donations in Bud’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting sbfuneralhome.com.
