Alan Eugene Magnafici of Riverside, California passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 69. Alan was born on October 22, 1954, in Dixon, IL where he grew up. Alan graduated from Dixon Highschool in 1972. After graduating he began working for Commonwealth Edison (now Exelon Power) in the public utilities industry where he spent the first 24 years of his career. Following Exelon, Alan spent 7 years consulting in the public utilities industry throughout the United States and abroad. After his consulting work Alan spent the next 10 years working for Spectrum Brands in Dixon, IL until he retired in 2013. Alan enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors with the family pet Jeda. Alan was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Audrey (Boster) Magnafici both of Dixon, IL. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Dusing) Magnafici, son Eric Magnafici, daughter Elizabeth (Mike) Heuermann, sister Jan (Robert) Fenwick and two brothers Gary and Steven Magnafici. He is also survived by his six beautiful grandchildren Grace, Jessa, Carly, Ellie, Mally and Alex Heuermann. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family memorial service will follow in Dixon, IL.
