Anthony J. "Tony" Avila, 35 of Sterling died Sunday January 15, 2023.
He was born on November 23, 1987 in Sterling the son of Thomas A. and Penny S. (Mashow) Avila Jr. and was a graduate of Sterling High School. Tony worked as a welder. He was a devoted son and a loving dad to his children. Tony enjoyed riding his motorcycle and watching the Bears' game on Sunday with his dad.
Survivors include his son, Jayden and his daughter Marianna; his parents Tom and Penny Avila of Sterling; his brothers: Tommy Avila III of Rockford, Isaac Avila of Freeport and Jamie Avila of Sterling; his paternal grandmother Rose Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Thomas A. Avila Sr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 3-5 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls.
