Duane M. Bothe, 91 of Dixon died Monday, July 10. He was born April 9, 1932, a Twilight baby in Sublette to Paul L. and Dora (Miller) Bothe.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1952-54 in Germany and a member of Bethel Evangelical Congregational Church.
He married Helen Anderson on June 30, 1957. She preceded him in death on June 26,2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother Paul, one sister Beverly and a niece Paula Brown.
Duane was a custodian at Dixon High School for over 35 years. He was well known for his 1965 red corvette. He also was a dog lover with a passion for Beagles.
Survivors include a nephew Jeff (Judy) Foster of Parker, CO, nieces Deborah (William) Naucke of St. Louis, MO, Melony Carver of Mendota, Cheryl (Pete) Cervantes of Sterling and Sandy (Dan) Burke of Dixon.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with full military rites at DeWolf Cemetery. Online condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com
