Died: May 5, 2025 in Sterling, IL
GALT - Frederick "Rick" Woessner, aged 76, of Sterling, Illinois, passed away on May 5, 2025, of natural causes.
He was born on April 16, 1949, in Morrison, Illinois to Ward and Arlene (Deets) Woessner. Rick served honorably in the Army as an artilleryman. After his discharge from service, Rick returned to the family farm and successfully grew the family farm business.
On May 22, 1982, he married Kathleen, of Rock Falls, Illinois at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sterling, Illinois. Kathleen's children, Natalie and Ryan, were joined by sister, Rachel a few years later.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and David.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen; his children Natalie, Ryan, and Rachel; and his three grandchildren; as well as his elder brother James.
In his spare time, Rick enjoyed endurance horseback riding and woodworking.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a graveside service at Oak Knoll Memorial Park on June 2, 2025, at 11:00am.
