Geoffrey Dean Floto
Died: July 28, 2025
Geoffrey Dean Floto, born on June 25, 1955, in Dixon, IL, entered into Heaven peacefully in the many arms and hands of those who loved him on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Geoff's journey on earth was one marked by hard work, compassion, and unwavering love. He was a Dixon High School graduate and attended college in Peoria, beginning his career in factory warehousing. He shared many of the same passions as his father, Kenneth Floto, and stepfather, Jack Bay; things like animals, cars, and adventure. Geoff was fiercely loved by his father, Kenny, for the first few months of his life, until Kenny's passing in late 1955. Jack Bay later married Betty, Geoff's mother, and raised him as his own. Geoff acquired his love for animals and hardworking character during his childhood, being raised on a farm with his four siblings: Leslie, Linda, Lori, and John. Geoff loved sharing the many funny stories and memories made on the farm and in school with his children and grandchildren.
Some of his favorite pastimes included listening to music, bowling, fishing, shooting guns, and watching his favorite sports teams which included the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. Geoff prided himself on bowling a perfect (300) game in 1988 and was known to take his '92 Camaro for a drive whenever he could.
Geoff is survived by his loving wife of nearly 33 years, Karin Floto; mother, Betty Bay; stepfather, Jack Bay; four children, Jamie Floto-Pope, Joshua (Stacey) Herrmann, Kenny (Elisa) Floto, and Jennifer (Toby) Glenn; nine grandchildren, Glyn, Lilah, Gideon, Jackson, Marley, Wyatt, Jordan, Blakely, and Declan; four siblings, Leslie (Jim Hart) Beran, Linda (Dale) Wallace, Lori (Chuck) Pfoutz, and John (Debbie) Bay; and several nieces and nephews.
Geoff was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Floto; granddaughter, Rayna Floto; paternal grandparents, Frank & Wilma Floto; and his maternal grandparents, Curtis & Evelyn Brickey.
