I was a young student at Duis School a country school where Mrs Long would substitute for Gertrude Nelson. All students were so blessed to have her. It was a joy to see her as she was expecting a child, possibly her first. She later was a lifetime friend with my wife Katie and me. We loved her!

Belle was my grade school teacher for many years at St Mary's. I remember she was so kind, helpful and wise. Belle will be missed!
