Jack Carroll, age 86, passed away November 27, 2022, in Carmel, Indiana.
He was born December 30, 1935, in Prophetstown, Illinois. Jack had been a longtime resident of Rock Falls and Sterling, Illinois before moving to Indiana.
He is survived by Donna Carroll (Eshleman), his beloved wife of 68 years, and their three children, Tamra Kwasegroch, Margo Blatz (Greg), and Marlo Carroll. Jack is also survived by five grandchildren, Jennifer Fite, Elizabeth Sterbenz (Conor), Christopher Kwasegroch, Spencer Blatz (Megan), and Sawyer Blatz; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Aurora, Sadie, Eve, McKenzie, Owen, Sydney, and Calvin.
Jack retired from Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling, Illinois after a successful career as a systems analyst. Jack loved his family and worked hard to create a good life. Many say he was a great storyteller, and his passion for cars, clocks, electronics, and especially Christmas entertained and educated those he loved throughout his life. In fact, Jack and Donna were married on Christmas Day. He will be missed, but will live on in our hearts and memories.
Jack generously donated his body to the Anatomical Education Program at Indiana University School of Medicine. This gift will contribute significantly to the advancement of health science education in the state of Indiana. Those, like Jack, who decide to bequeath their bodies to the health sciences have made a significant contribution that benefits the quality of life and care for the living. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Anatomical Education Program at Indiana University.
