James W. "Jim" Kraklio, 62 of Rock Falls died suddenly Tuesday October 14, 2025 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford.
He was born on June 15, 1963 in Iowa City, the son of Dennis and Mary (Chrissinger) Kraklio. He served in the US Marines from 1982 – 1984 with a rank of E-3. Jim married Michelle H. Cardwell on July 27, 2002 in Rock Falls. He was the owner/operator of C&K undercar specialist in Sterling for the past 30 years. He was a hard worker, proud papa and loving husband. Jim enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his grandson Connor. He was a Vikings and Bills fan.
Survivors include his wife Michelle; sons: Derek Cardwell (Emily White) and Dennis Kraklio; grandsons: Connor and Kaiden; brothers: Konrad (Dawn) Kraklio of Wheatland, IA and Mike Kraklio of Dultuh, MN; brother in laws: Donovan Tinsley and Bill (Donna) Cardwell; nieces and nephews: Brent Elder, Chase, Kadyn, Kamdyn, and Chance Kraklio, Riley Cardwell and Brianna Sand.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Esther Tinsley and daughter Megan Cardwell.
Cremation will take place and there are no public services. Arrangements entrusted to the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory.
