James Steven Nicklaus age 78 of Tucson, AZ died Saturday, December 28th, 2024. He was born on December 26th, 1946 in Dixon, IL. Loving father to Chad Nicklaus of St. Charles MO, Amy Campbell of Gilroy CA, and Brandon Knight of Sacramento, CA. Jim is further survived by his sibling, Michael Nicklaus of Grand Detour, IL. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, his mother Dorothy and his wife Marilyn.
After an extensive career in electrical engineering, which brought Jim to California, Washington and Arizona, Jim retired in 2007. He led a very active life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with his seven grandchildren. Working on his house and helping others was a passion of Jim's. He regularly helped others through his handyman business, often performing work for others in need without charge.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
An internment is planned at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon, IL on June 14th, where Jim will be laid to rest with his wife Marilyn. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
