STERLING - Jean A. Partridge, 97, of Sterling, died on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Rock River Hospice Home. Jean was born November 22, 1926, in Sterling, the daughter of John Lamont and Gertrude (Eberly) Partridge Sr. Jean was a 1944 graduate of Rock Falls High School. She graduated from Jane Lamb School of Nursing in 1947. Jean worked as an RN for 52 years at both CGH Medical Center, and later KSB Hospital. Jean was a member of Rock Falls United Methodist Church, and more recently Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Joan Partridge, of Sterling; nieces and nephews, Larry Moeller, of Mesa,AZ; Jolyn Moeller, of Phoenix, AZ, Linda (David) Reynolds, Downer's Grove, Lisa Moeller DVM, of Kankakee, Charles (Tina) Partridge, of Woodstock, Barbara (Tom) Zinanni, of Sterling, Brenda Partridge (Carol), of Texas, Charles (Linda) Malone, of Waunakee, WS, Alan (Kris) Partridge, of Rock Falls, Gwen (Warren) Mead, Roger Maxwell, all of Sterling, Betsy Partridge Kerner, and Beth Ann (Bobby) Perry, all of TX; many great nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews; special cousin, Carol (Russell) Siefken, of Sterling; and special friend, Margaret Tillman.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, Lita Partridge (Louis Moeller), Lois Partridge, Jack (Mary) Partridge, Glen (Elizabeth) Partridge, Lyle (Beverly) Partridge, Alan Partridge, Neil (Gyneth) Partridge; and one niece, Kala Partridge Maxwell.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls, with Reverend Paul Lee officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling, or Rock Falls United Methodist Church.
