Joanne Seaberg Obituary
Joanne M. Seaberg
Born: February 8, 1930
Died: September 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Marie Seaberg (Larson), born February 8, 1930, in Princeton, Illinois, daughter of Henry and Lillian (Harrison) Larson. Joanne passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Joanne dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding others - both as a beloved teacher and as the heart of her family. She taught for Sterling Schools for 27 years, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students before retiring in 1991.
To her family, Joanne was much more than a mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother - she was our matriarch, our shining example of grace, kindness, and quiet strength. The sweetest soul and the guiding light of our family, she led with compassion and unwavering love.
She is survived by her only son, best friend, and the light of her life, Jeffrey (Lori) Seaberg of Sterling, IL; her three beloved granddaughters: Abbie (Travis) Celestino of Rock Falls, IL, Katie Seaberg (William Campbell) of Sterling, IL, and Jennie Seaberg (Brady Siegmund) of Sterling, IL.
Joanne was also blessed with seven precious great-grandchildren who absolutely adored her - Brayden, Zachary, Lilliana, Delylah, and Kayliene Celestino, and Oliviya and Melody Campbell - with another sweet great-granddaughter, baby girl Siegmund, soon to arrive.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gail Larson; nieces Belinda (Larry) LaMagdeleine, Dawn Larson (John Grabs), and Kim (Bonnie) Larson; as well as one great-nephew and two great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don and John Larson, sister-in-law Sandy Larson, and her nephew Tom Larson.
Joanne cherished time spent with her family above all else. Whether it was a quiet visit or a joyful family gathering, her love was constant and deeply felt. Her presence brought comfort, her wisdom brought peace, and her laughter brought joy.
Per her wishes, no formal services will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Joanne's love and legacy live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She was - and will always remain - the soul of our family.
Rest gently, sweet Grandma Joanie. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed.
Arrangements entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home & Ce,matory.
