STERLING – Marjorie (Margie) I. Mathias, age 97, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling.
Marjorie was born on October 10, 1928 in Sterling the daughter of John and Mildred (Grove) Jurkens. She was a member The Big Red Church in Sterling.
Survivors include, one daughter-in-law, Dolly Mathias, two granddaughters, Trisha Mathias (Tammie) and Sarah (Griffin) Eckert.
She was preceded in death by her husband , Ronald Mathias and son, Rodney Mathias.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at The Big Red Church in Sterling. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ken Zuithoff officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to The Big Red Church.
