STERLING - Mark Wayne Knutti, 68, of Sterling, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his home.
Mark was born September 6, 1957, in Freeport, the son of Walter and Lola (Miller) Knutti. He married Debra Krippner on July 11, 1981, in Morrison. Mark was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. He was an avid dirt track racing fan and enjoyed helping his son with demolition derbies. Mark's greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Knutti; his children, Kara Knutti, Stacey Dravis (Nathen Todd), all of Sterling, Alison Dugger (Daryl Pernell), of Rock Falls, and Caleb Knutti (Sydney Hills), of Sterling; 4 brothers, Roger (Connie) Knutti, of Lanark, Larry (Char) Knutti, of Pecatonica, Steve (April) Knutti, and Dave (Kalah)Knutti, all of Chadwick; and 6 grandchildren, Elly Dravis, Mackenzie Dravis, Madilyn Dravis, Maverick Todd, Jack Dugger, and Connor Pernell.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Babe Baumgardt; two brothers, Laverne and Marvin Knutti; and a son in infancy, Drew Knutti.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, with Reverend James Keenan officiating. Burial will conclude at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.
