Died: July 12, 2021 in Dixon, IL
DIXON – Michael C. Allen, age 69, of Dixon, died Monday, July 12, 2021 at his home.
Michael was born December 3, 1951, in Dixon, the son of Carmon and Rose Allen. He graduated from Dixon High School and attended First United Methodist Church in Dixon. He married Theresa Corl on August 1, 1975 in Dixon and they later renewed their vows on November 16, 2010 in Negril, Jamaica. Michael was employed at Sterling Commercial Roofing for 34 years. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Jimmy Buffett fan.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Allen of Dixon; four children, Stephanie Butler of Dixon, Pamela (Kevin) Payne of Lawrence, KS, Heather Dingley of Dixon and Chris (Ashley) Allen of Falls Church, VA; one sister, Dolly (Leon) Kinn of Dixon; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gloria A. Cronk; and one aunt, Alberta Allen.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the VFW in Dixon.
