Nancy Ann Whitson, 78, of Dixon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born on July 11, 1947, in Dixon, the daughter of Fred and Betty (Hoffman) Odenthal. She married Glen "Porky" Lehman on July 11, 1962. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2025. Together they had three boys, Tom, Jeff, and Doug. She then married Kendall Whitson on July 31, 1981. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2017.
Nancy is survived by her three sons, Tom (Tammi) Lehman, Jeff (Janice Perce) Lehman, Doug (Cindy) Lehman; nine grandchildren, Autumn (Eric), Casey (Tim), Zach, Riley, (Vince), Brook, Jacob, Brock, Kayla, Danielle; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron Odenthal, Dick (Pat) Odenthal; and one sister, Teri Burhenn.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and step-father, Richard Burhenn; her father, Fred Odenthal, Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Odenthal.
In lieu of services, Nancy's wish was to be cremated and have a private burial of cremains at the Grand Detour Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
