ROCK FALLS – Sharon A. Dirksen, age 75, died Thursday, October 5, 2023 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.
Sharon was born on January 1, 1948 in South Dakota the daughter of Jurren and Eleanor (Dumar) Dirksen. She was a homemaker and enjoyed word puzzles and arts and crafts. Sharon attended Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Raymond of Freeport, FL; one son, Tony Howe of Rock Falls; two sisters, Jan (Don) Davis of Rock Falls and Arlene (Dave) Webber of Princeton; six brothers, Jerry (Sharon) Dirksen of Woodhull IL, Ron (Jan) Dirksen of Davenport IA, Calvin Dirksen, Marvin Dirksen both of PonceDeLeon, FL, Steve Dirksen of Bonifay, FL and Vernon (Tonja) Dirksen of Long Grove, IA; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Aaron Meeks officiating. Private family burial in Iowa will be held at a later date. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Happy Tails.

My sister will be missed so very much! I won´t get mistaken for her around Rock Falls as everyone said we look alike. I´ll miss our sisters lunch dates at Culver´s along with talking on the phone. I´m not sure who talked more as we inherited the ability to never stop talking! I leave now with my heartfelt sympathies to her children and my love to my sister, Sharon.
