DECATUR – Vada Jean Czuprynski (Meyer) passed away peacefully on March 15th at the age of 88. She had been a resident of Lincolnshire Memory Care in Decatur, IL for the past 4 and one half years.
Born on December 30th, 1932 in Round Grove, IL she was a lifelong resident of Sterling. She married Robert "Bob" Czuprynski on July 3rd, 1955 and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2015. They had four children, James (Karen) of Forsyth, Thomas (Jackie) of Bartlett, Chris of Sterling and Jane (Curt) of Sterling. They were blessed with seven grandchildren, Katy (Jeff) Ritter, Rob, Sarah, Sydney, Sam, Courtney and Bree Czuprynski and two great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marge (Phil) Beach and brother, Vernon Meyer.
Vada was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Laura; one sister, June; and her beloved husband, Bob.
She was a lifelong member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Sterling. Her passions in life were her faith, her family, reading and horses.
Donations can be made in her name to either Alzheimer's Research Foundation and/or Messiah Lutheran Church.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. June 12th at Messiah Lutheran Church, Sterling.
