Virginia "Jennie" Lee Dewey
Born: June 24, 1968
Died: April 17, 2022
Virginia "Jennie" Lee Dewey, 53, of Polo, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at her home in Polo, IL. She owned and operated Dew Right Cleaning prior to her passing.
Jennie was born June 24, 1968, in Sterling, IL, the daughter of Leon C. Full and Sharon (Lauts) Drew. She married Andrew "Andy" Dewey, Sr on December 20, 1985, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon. Jennie enjoyed traveling and painting. She was a devout Christian and generous to many. Most of all Jennie cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Andy Dewey, Sr of Polo; three children, Michael Dewey of Polo, Amanda Dewey of Woosung, Andrew "Drew"(Amber) Dewey Jr; four grandchildren, Kylie, Kaethen, Kenzli, Kolten; three siblings, Josie (David) Mosinski, of Fairfield, IA, Julie Ann (Jeff) Hussey of Stillman Valley, Dustin (Sarah) Drew of Dixon; stepfather, Jerry Drew; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until time of the funeral service at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Church of the Open Bible in Polo, with Rev. Ron McDermott, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Prairieville Cemetery in Sterling, IL.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the memory of Virginia "Jennie" Dewey c/o of Andrew Dewey and mailed to 209 West Buffalo St. Polo, IL 61064.
Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
