I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr Helton, but anyone who grew up in Savannah in the 60's has to remember his commercials: "Come on down and swap one time; it's healthy for ya!" Another Savannah icon is lost. My sympathy to his family.

Jerry, Hugh and family, your Dad was best known to me as a true Southern Gentleman. He always had time to chat, spend time with anyone and treated all with the greatest respect. He is a Georgia icon that will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him. You may be saddened but Heaven has a great man in its ranks. God Bless,
