Daddy,
I wanted to be at the end of your guestbook because I not only want to express my feelings to you but to everyone that has showed so much love and support since the day you were called home. I sit back and think about how things could have been but then I have to remind myself that I cannot change Gods will. A week after you passed I found out that you will become a new Grandfather. You know what they say...when one leaves this earth, another life is born. I think its another reason why I have so much strength. Its your little angle growing inside me. There is so much pride and joy in being your daughter. I will miss the hour long conversations we had.You were there for me like no other. To calm me down and to cheer me up. You never missed a beat. What a man you were. I will miss my friend. You have touched so many peoples lives. The class of 79 loved you.DAPS(your job)has been in my corner since day 1. The outpour of support has been unbelievable but it also goes to show the impact you had on others. I appreciate everything and everyone that was here for me and the family during our time of need. You would be so proud and I know you are. Daddy, I love you so much. The hardest thing thus far was graduation. I walked across that stage and all I thought about was you. I did it Daddy and I will continue on because Im not finished yet. I just cant thank you enough. Now, you can get that goodnight sleep you dreamed of. Dream on Daddy...Dream on. Your 1 and only daughter.

Baby Brother, .Please forgive me for taking so long to express what's in my heart. I will never forget you! My initial attempt to gain closure was on 11/23/09 . I guess it was lost in cyber space. Thank God for second chances in life. Baby Brother I love you and miss you.My heart is broken without you. You suffered in silence never once complained. Thank you Jesus! you heard his cry and answered his prayer. My only regret is you did not allow me to pray with you . God knows your heart and spoke to you ( Isaiah 41: 10 ).I will take comfort in knowing that you are at peace. I now understand the purpose of your visit to savannah on 11/07/09. You made a point of sharing your life experiences and wisdom with my kids. They will forever have this beautiful memory of uncle T. You were loved and always made us felt special. sister, Joyce miller

My dear Tony (Ton-yah),
As I sit hear to write, there are no words to express how much I do and will truly miss you. Years ago when I met you, you welcomed me into the family and treated me like a big sister. I love you so much, not only are you my friend but a younger brother. We had so much fun together. You were so funny and you always made me laugh. You had a heart of gold and such classy taste. I was always impressed with the gift God gave you to decorate. We had our own inside jokes and our bond as cousins was stronger than ever. Thank you for such a wonderful time on our last visit with you. You were not feeling very well, yet you kept going, but nothing could have prepared me for what God had in store. We serve an awesome God and I know he doesn't make mistakes. It is comforting to know you are no longer suffering and you are in the hands of the Lord. You are a guardian angel. I have never experienced a love one visiting with my family the way you came to us in room #419, it is a blessing to know you love us enough to show us you are okay and looking after us. Your presence brought my family together and we had a wonderful bible study that morning. My family (Farmer, Lee) and I was truly blessed by your presence. May God forever keep you by his side, we love you but God loves you more. He has so much work for you to do, so please continue to watch over us why we are absent one from another. I know we will see each other again. You will always be near and dear to my heart. Thank you once again Tony.
Much love,
Your cousin Shelia Roberts

Cuz,
I write in this guest book in memory of you; There is nothing I can write here which can express the love we shared for and with each other. When I got the news that God had called you home, I cried because I felt that God had taken a part of me away, but as I began to reflect on his word I was strengten because his word says earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. I will miss your smile, your jokes and our sampling of hot fish right of the hot grease together. See I realize that God has the devine right to pick from his garden whenever he chooses, no matter the time, place, name or circumstance. You rest on my brother because each one of us has to travel the same road. I know you could have called me or your mama on Thursday, but you choose not want to trouble us; thank you for visiting room #419 after the fact and sharing that message with me and my family. Cuz let me tell you a story.......Justice and Mercy had a meeting, but Mercy was a little late. When he did show up sometime later Justice saw him from afar and he had holes in his pants from praying and he smelled like smoke. He was taking care of a little business in the Lions den with Daniel and in the fire with the Hebrew boys. After a brief discussion with Justice he (Mercy) said he could not stay long because he had to go down to Savannah, Ga to check on your mama Mrs. Annie Mae Lee. See Mercy had already stopped by Knoxville, Tn and told me "yes you love him, but God loves him more and God never makes a mistake. Rest on my brother, if it God's will I will see you again on the other side.
Love you

Uncle T,
I always looked forward to our phone conversations, we would laugh and talk about so many topics for hours:-) I will remember all of the words of encouragement you've shared with me through the years.
Simple words could never express the void that is left in my heart. When when we last spoke you told me that you were proud of me and you said you wouldn't miss my wedding for the world(l.o.l)
I know that you had every intention on keeping your word, but our heavenly father had a glorious destiny for you and now you will rest in heaven and become another one of my guardian angels joining my daddy and grandfather in heaven.
I will think of you on my wedding day and everyday that shall pass and in your memory I will light a candle at the reception to show that although you are gone in body your spirit will be present.
Please know how much I love you and always will.

To my brother-in-law,
I will miss our long talks we had over the phone, your jokes, your pizzazz, charm, and that masculine finess, and that beautiful smile, but I know in my heart that you are in a better place. God never makes mistakes. He knows what is best for all of us. He wanted you beside him. I will store all the beautiful memories in a safe deposit box which only you and I share the key. You will never be forgotten because I know that you will always be by my side. I love you.

You're going home to live with God. No more pain, No more sorrow. Don't worry about me. Remembering your sweet smile will forever live in my heart. Psalms 121.

Tony and I were best of friends, and I resided with him briefly in 20001, in his Jonesboro, GA residence. We spoke at minimum at least twice a month since then. He was one of the most unrenouned "Stand up Comics" of my life-time and could bring a laugh from any one on the most gloomist of days, not to mention his kind heart and utmost respect that he shared for all those who knew him.
He is "My friend" ....and was one of "My Best friends in this life"...My brother ...I will sorely miss you here...but congrats in your "new life" side by side with "our savior Jesus" and "no more cares" Let Us Rejoice !!

It is hard to imagine that Tony is no longer physically with us; however I take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. His spirit is with God, our creator, but his memory lingers on. I am honored to have known him.
Tony was a great man. I too (as many others) grew up in the same neighborhood and attended the schools he did up until college. I was always impressed with his speed and athletic ability. So instead of sprinting down Jefferson Street against him, I sat on the curb and watched like a pup as the “Big Dogs” played. I don’t remember anyone that could out run him. I was a little younger than that group of guys but the fond memories will always be with me.
The last time I talked with Tony was before he left Warner Robins a few years ago. He was the same awesome guy then as he was when we were growing up (a true friend).
To the Lee family, thank you for molding the personality and character of such an impressionable young man as Tony. You all should be proud to know he affected so many lives positively. My prayer is that God will give you peace and comfort in your time of sorrow. And, that he also encourages and turns your mourning into joy.

To my uncle tony (ATL's Finest): Words cant explain how much of a powerful man my uncle tony was. From his walk, to his talk, to the way he carried himself showed people that he was a man of pride. I will miss those trips to atlanta and his cookouts. He had the music, he had the style, and yes he drove all the lady's wild. My last memory of him was on November 7th,we talked and laughed and he gave me a hug, little did i know that would be the last time i saw his smile. My love for him as a niece is unconditional, He will forever live through us, In body he is gone, but he will forever live in spirit. Rest in peace. For your pain is no more...(ATL's Finest)

about a year ago i pulled into the parking lot of my barbershop in atlanta. as i was getting out of my car i noticed a guy looking at me. i said to myself, "why's that FAT little dude looking at me?" he suddenly said,"PRIESTER!" within a split second i recognized him and emphatically replied, "LI'L HEAD???" we both cracked up! it was my first time seeing tony in about 20 years. we laughed and reminisced about the days of old. i recalled to the guys in the barbershop about how FAST tony was. and they couldn't believe it! it was good to see him then. he hadn't changed at all! same smile. same even temperment. same spirit. GOD allowed us to reconnect. precious memories of our youth. the FRANK CALLEN BOY'S CLUB; H.V.JENKINS. GOD called a good man home. it's not for us to ask why. i'll always remember him powering thru the hole for a short yardage gain! he must've had the biggest pair of thighs i've ever seen on a person. or, him and ronnie red sprinting down jefferson street trying to prove who was the fastest(tony beat 'em)! R.I.P. "Li'l Head". one of GOD's fastest human beings.

To the Lee Family I would like to express my deepest sympathy at the lost of Tony. They say imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery, with that said my earliest memories of Tony was of him running with a football. I was nine, but I never forgot seeing such explosiveness and power. I emulated Tony, every football team I tried out for I sign up for Running Back because Tony made it look so cool. Certainly Tony will be missed, but I will always, always remember him. If ever there were three brothers from different mothers Tony, Jeffery Beasley and Manny were and always will be. To The Lee Family,
May God almighty lighten your heavy burden of sorrow during this time. It seem as though I have known Tony all of my life. From kindergarten, Florance Elementary, Jenkins, Savannah State. While I understand this is the cylce of life, it is still difficult to grasp the loss of my friend. From WestBroad Street, Grapevine, Frazier Homes, Aarons Super Mkt, Star Theatre. To purchasing our first home in the Atl. We also worked together at the Corps of Engineers, shared many meals together in the ATL, many meals, laughed, relaxed, encouraged and advised one another. Now I know why I feel so hollow at this moment. But, I can rejoice knowing we have been honored to share this life with you and cross paths with you all these years. You will always remain my Brother, Friend, Pal, MI Hombre. You are already deeply missed by the crew. RIP, my friend. May the lord forgive you for any indiscretions and show his mercy upon you and open up the gates of paridise for you. RIP, my brother, Job well done!

To the Lee Family,
I’m very sorry for your loss of Tony. I know that words cannot begin to explain how you are feeling or what you are going through at this painful time in your life. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that Tony was well liked and loved by all he came in contact with and that although he is not here with us physically, that he is not suffering or in any pain but just asleep for now.
I’d like to thank you as well as Tony for giving me the honor and joy to be L’Oreal’s other Dad. Tony I will continue to love, care and be there for her as we both did as until I see you again.
I hope this scripture will help you to understand that this part of Tony’s life is over, but God is not finished with him.
John: Chapter 11, Verse 25, reads
Jesus said to her. “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.”
Tony is asleep now, but salvation comes in the morning and what a wonderful day it will be to see him smile again.
Rest well my friend.

Tony was a very good friend we will miss him greatly, our prayers are with the Lee family. Tony touched a lot of people and we will miss his sense of humor, laugh and just himself. He was part of the DAPS family and his absence will always be felt.

To The Lee Family, it is with deep condolences that I express such a great loss. To a young man who was more than a brother to me, he was my FRIEND!
He and I were very close friends. From the Hallway of HVJ and the Track Fields of Savannah. He will be greatly missed. Much love my brother...for God knows best.

To The Lee Family,
My heart is so deeply saddened. This untimely loss has effected many here in Savannah. Tony and I shared the same backfield for the 1979 HVJ Warriors football team. He was a very close friend of mine. My sincere condolences goes out to the entire Lee family. My thoughts and prayers are that you find strength and comfort at such a difficult time. Tony will forever be remembered in a positive way, for the many lives which he touched and influenced. May the precious memories of the times you had with him be your comfort for the tomorrows without him. WHILE HE LAY IN PEACEFUL SLEEP, HIS MEMORIES WE SHALL FOREVER KEEP. Let us all take comfort in knowing that we now have a special guardian angel to watch over us. Rest In Peace my HVJ c/o 79 classmate. Rest In Peace my cousin. ONE LOVE.
