Dear Aunt Beverly, Gina, and Nicole,

I am very sorry for your loss, as I know how much you will miss having your husband and Dad around. He was a great Uncle and always shared a laugh and a smile every time I was lucky enough to see him. I will always have such good memories of him. I think the best evidence of how a man lived his life is by the success of the people he left behind, and what a succesful family he has!! I love all of y'all very much and am proud to be able to consider all of you family. If it is any solace, what a GREAT mothers day gift for Granny, to be reunited with her loving son!!!!!

Love,

John D. Gibbs

When I am dead, my dearest

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.
