To the family of the late Bruce Helmly, sorry for your lost and sending my condolences. Remembering Bruce from our high schools days at Johnson High. We played football together at Johnson and ever time we spoke during high school and years later he would call me by nickname "Jeep". Rest in peace classmate.

I was so sad to hear this news.

I first met Bruce 40 years ago at the old Station 6 on Barnard Street. We worked together there and at the new station on Liberty Parkway for many years.

Bruce was his own man;: one of a kind. His high octane energy was shared with everyone he met and he was quick to make you laugh. He was not someone you could easily forget and always stood out from all those around him.

My prayers go out to all the family.
