Charles Kendrick Obituary

Charles Mossman Kendrick, 80, Lt Col, USAF, Retired, died Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. He was born in Atlanta, GA, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. he was a Veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict. He received his "Pilot Wings" at Pensacola Naval Air Station, while serving in the US Navy. He then served in the US Army Air Corps as a Fighter Pilot in Korea, and then served in the US Air Force as a Transport Pilot for the Strategic Air Command, and prior to his retiring, served with the Strategic Air Command in the Titan II Missile Program. He is survived by his wife, Wylan Yvonne Byrd Kendrick of Savannah, GA; a son and daughter-in-law, Vance C. and Helen Kendrick of Ashland, Kentucky; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly K. and Steve Byrd of Savannah, GA; a sister, Marie Cox of Savannah, GA; a granddaughter, Kelly Joy Brown of Savannah, GA; and several nieces and nep hews. Funeral Services were held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home - Hodgson Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Connell officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Mausoleum.
