I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you all. I went to Tybee Elementary with Dawn during 4th & 5th grade. I had not seen her since then; however, she had the same bright smile as she did back then. I pray that God would wrap His arms of love and mercy around you all during this time of loss. As you go on with your lives I pray that you would be reminded of her daily through the little and big things in life that brought her such joy.

I didn't know Dawn or the family, but ever since I have heard of what happened, it has been in my thoughts nonstop. I just can't seem to get it out of my head. To Dawn's family,
We didn't know Dawn. We were at the Crab Shack finishing dinner when this happened. We are from Illinois and were visiting for the weekend. We could tell she was a very special lady. Everyone at the restaurant was obviously very upset and trying to help out any way they could.

This whole tragedy has just broken my heart. Having gone through the ones we did with Michael, and Debbie. I know the horrbile pain, and loss that everyone is going through right now. To Dawn's immediate and extended families we want to say how sorry we are that you've had to lose her at such a young age. We have known Dawn since she was a teenager and still find it hard to believe she's gone.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn through her mother-in-law Karin (KK) and through the Russell family. She was always so bubbly and kind. When I think of her I think of her throwing horse shoes with Alan and the guys. She was a fun-loving young woman, who I know will be terribly missed on the islands.
