Ms. Deborah "Debbie" E. Ransom 1953-2007 - SAVANNAH - Ms. Deborah "Debbie" E. Ransom was called to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the age of 52 at her mother's residence surrounded by her family. The Chatham County native lived all her life in the Savannah area. A 1971 graduate of Savannah High School. She received a B.S. of Business Administration from Savannah State (College) University. She also received a Masters in Special Education and A Certificate of Advanced. Studies in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College. She worked over 25 years with the Chatham County Board of Education as an Orthopedic Impaired Teacher. Deborah has been faithful member of Young Zion Baptist Church for 40 years, until her health fail her. She was preceded in death by her father, George Ransom, Sr., grandmothers, Ida Ransom, and Marie Porter, uncle, Leon Banks Sr., sisters, Linda Gail Ransom and Tonya L. Ransom Turner. Debbie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother Charles Etta Ransom; son, Armon K. Truell; daughter, Nyrai E. Adams; granddaughter, Armonie Truell; special friend, David Adams; siblings, George (Lesa) Ransom, Jr., Sharon Ransom-Ivy, Diane Reynolds, Charles Ransom; aunts, Mildred Stevens, Rosemary Banks, Irene Kease, Edna (Joseph) Bryant, Gladys Rivers, MaryLou (James) Cohen; uncles, Isaac (Susie) Gordon, Jr., Joseph (Ellen) Washington, Herman (Willie Mae) Johnson and Diana Reynolds; brothers-in law, Nathaniel Ivy and George Turner, Jr.; nephews, Darren (Katina) Parker, JaNaun Ivy, JaMarri Ivy, Rashad Coney, George Turner III, Dr. Leon (Suzanne) Banks, Jr., Matthew Jackson, Kelvin Jackson, Robert Morgan, Harry Morgan Ta'Lil Dempsey, Martius Mincey, Shantavious Mincey, Robbie Reynolds; nieces, Cierra Turner, ShyQuanda Williams, Tawannah Frazier, Latoya Reynolds; one grandniece, Eboni Parker; one God-daughter, Natasha Councils; one God-brother, Rev. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 23, 2007 at St. James A.M.E Church, 632 Board Street, with Rev. James Williams, officiating. Interment: Hillcrest Abbey East.
