DELAINE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON, FORGIVING, LOVED PEOPLE, AND THOSE IN NEED WERE NEVER TURNED AWAY, SHE WOULD GIVE HER LAST TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE THAT WANTED TO PAY, IF SOMEONE DID SOMETHING FOR HER. I WOULD SAY 'COUNT IT TOWARD THE FLOWER BILL-INSTEAD OF ROSES'. SHE WAS A GOD-LOVING PERSON. DELAINE WAS WELL LOVED BY ALL HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WILL MISS HER PRESENCE IN MY LIFE AND THAT WONDERFUL SMILE BUT HER LOVE WILL BE FOREVER IN MY HEART.

my love for her will go on,
we all knew it wouldn't be long
she went to visit our heavens in the sky
but for her family she had to try
she loved us all more than most could see
you don't know how good she treated me
she filled a void in my childhood days
the bad little child she helped to raise
I didn't except it when I heard the news
but now I tell you its left a bruise
I didn't know how to write in this book
so I decided to give it a second look
I wanted to write her a poem today
to let it be known she helped me in every way
she took me to the beach and summer waves
thats what she did in my childhood days
as an adult i stand strong
she helped give me my backbone
I've took her advice many times too
the same advice she probably gave to you
in other words I had to say
to me, my aunt delaine was great in every way

She finally took a trip without me. Heaven Bound! She was ready to see Jesus but she did not want her boys to hurt. Her dying is a testimony to the strength, courage and grace we are granted through Jesus Christ. Remember her favorite, Psalm 91.Mizpah,Sis, We'll meet again!

Kathy P. & family. Our sympathy goes out to you at this time of sorrow, but the joy of knowing your aunt is in the presence of Jesus eases the pain. Smiles will replace the tears & lonliness when sharing all those prescious memories. GBU

I am very sorry about the loss of Aunt Delaine. I loved her dearly. I was just telling Richie about how Aunt Delaine was such a friendly and loving person. She always made me feel part of the family. Richie and myself will miss her. I am glad that she does not have to suffer anymore though and she is feeling very good right now. We will miss her but we know she is in a better place. We love the family and I know if we stick together as a family we will make it through these days.

I just want to tell all the family that my heart and prayers goes out to you all. I love each and everyone of you. I thank God that I was able to sit with her the few times that I did. I enjoyed looking at all the old photos, that belonged to my mom, with her and us sitting and talking about all the memories they brought back. We talked about the good times and the bad. But we mainly laughed a lot. She talked about her boys and her grand-children and told me how much she loved them. And how proud she was of them. I know I will think of her as days come and go. I will especially think of her when I see cowtails, knowing how much she loved them. Knowing that Jesus welcomed her home and she is no longer in pain makes it a little easier losing her. And I can't help but smile a little knowing all the love ones we have lost in our family was there to welcome her home. Remember how deep her faith was. Except Jesus into your heart and you will see her again.

I would like to send out prayers for our family for the loss of a very special person Aunt Delaine. We no that she is now healed and in Heaven where she will never have to worry or want for anything again.
I can remember like it was yesterday the times I spent with Aunt Delaine, Tony,Troy, Tink and Melinda when we were young. I used to love to go to her house and play on the " Shakin Machine or play Password" . We will miss her so much.
Tony, Troy and family my prayers are with you and I love you dearly. Angie& Tracy Walker and Family

No words can express what we, Wanda and I, feel for the family Delane had to leave behind. Delane is now at rest and with the Father.

Oh SIS!! A part of me died the moment you left. I am oldest of all the children and always thought I would be first one to go. God has left me to lay many of my precious sisters & brothers to rest and the pain does not get any easier , only harder. Delaine was always there for me and the last few weeks the times we spent together I will cherish and hold close, as the three SISTA's were together eating, laughing and reminising. I look forward to the day when we can all be back together again , only the next time there will be no pain, suffering or heartache. Delaine I know you are not phyically on earth but I want to tell you "I LOVE YOU and MISS YOU" Now Lee is watching after me I will try to give her a break if I can.

It is so hard to write what is truely felt. Aunt Delaine was more than and Aunt she was my sister. The pain of her gone well I don't think at times will ever go away but the joy of where she is now helps heal that because she closed her eyes on earth and opened them in Heaven. Troy, Tony, & all, my heart aches with yours as we face each day with Delaine not with us, but we have so many wonderful precious memeories and her spirit I believe is with us and will stay. Now her Grandpa Bob can laugh about the church story that her and I shared over and over all through the years.
