Forrest Gillespie Obituary

Forrest "Bud" Gillespie died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at home after a long battle with bone cancer, under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was retired from the United States Air Force, with twenty-one years, and also retired from Gulfstream after twenty-one years. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mary Ann Gillespie; daughter, Rhonda Gillespie of Claxton; son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Wendy Gillespie, and beloved granddaughter, Shea, and beloved grandson, Justin, all of Rincon; two brothers-in-law, Billy Richardson (Andrea) and Danny Richardson (Malinda), Cremation: Private Remembrances: Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Dear Mary Ann, Rhonda, Mike, Wendy, Shae, and Justin. We are so thankful for the time we have had together as our families become more entwined. We surely will miss Papa Bud and pray that the deep void in our lives will be filled with all the good memories of him and his big old contagious smile!

Mrs. Gillespie, Mike, I was sorry to hear about your loss. We did not spend a lot of time together, but when we played golf together with Mike, he always treated me like a friend. Not necessarily a sons friend.
