I was so sad to learn of Jeanette's untimely death. We were classmates in high school and she had such a sweet personality and was always a pleasure to be around. My thought and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Thank you all for the sweet messages you have shared here. It is still very surreal to see my parents' faces in an obituary. I have read all these messages as well as the emails I have gotten and the cards etc... over and over. It is through the prayers and thoughts of the many, many, many friends and family that our family is able to endure this time. I told someone yesterday that it is only fitting that when MY parents passed, people were talking about it not only locally but across the country and at least on one other continent! They are not the kind of people who should just slip out unnoticed and they didn't!

We were blessed to be their children and so many people were blessed to be their friends or family. There was no one else like them - nor will there ever be.

We can't even begin to know what you're going through at this time, but know that you have many who are thinking about you and praying for you. I didn't know your parents, but from their pictures and from reading what others have written, they seem like such sweet people. You know how close I am to my parents and if you were even half as lucky as I to have had such a great people love you then you are truly blessed.

My dearest cousins,

I was so upset to hear about Aunt Boots and Uncle Johnny. I was going to call her a couple of weeks ago but got side tracked and didn't do it, now I regret not calling. They will have lots of family to look over them in heaven and guide them along their way. You are in our thougths and prayers, I know how it is to lose a loved one so quickly and unexpectedly. I am always thinking of you all even though we haven't kept in touch, I love you all so much.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Janell, I will always remember our fun times with your mom, especially the parade and the times at their house. I never hear the song "Red Dirt Road" without thinking of your parents. May the memories of two lives very well lived comfort all of you in this time and in the future. Love, Renee

It was my privelge to work at Claxton Middle School while Ms. Jeanette worked in the lunchroom. I will always remember Ms. Jeanette for two things in particular, her smile when she said "Hi neighbor" and the fact that she liked Dreamsicles and was very diasppointed when they were no longer sold in the lunchroom. She was loved and will be missed.
