Mrs. Lindy Faye McCarty - HAZLEHURST - Mrs. Lindy Faye McCarty, 61, of 1145 Altamaha Rd., Hazlehurst, who passed Thursday evening. Mrs. McCarty was a native of Toombs County, and resided in Jeff Davis County for the past 40 years. She was co-owner of McCartys Used Cars, McCartys Auto Parts, and McCartys Convenient Stores in Hazlehurst. Survivors include her husband, Ronnie McCarty of Hazlehurst; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Don Walsh of Hazlehurst; sons and daughters-in-law, Bug and Carol McCarty of Hazlehurst, and Darwin "P-nut" and Tammy Foskey of Mt. Vernon; step-daughters, Cindy and David Woods of Metter, Tammy and Joel Rushing of Register, and Donna and Rick Riley oT Bethel, NC; step-son, Jeff and Jaime McCarty of Metter; brothers, Felton Simpson of Lyons, and Ray Simpson of Belle Plains, KS; grandchildren, Dylan and Roxie Walsh, and Caroline and Tripp McCarty of Hazlehurst; Kellie Foskey of Mt. Vernon; Kendall Holloway, Reagan McCarty, and Neally McCarty of Metter; Maci and Ali Rushing of Register; great-grandchild, Paisley Holloway of Metter. The family may be contacted at the family residence at 1145 Altamaha Rd., Hazlehurst. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008 in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. The Rev. Dewitt Corbin, and The Rev. Royce Hulett will officiate.
