Mark Haskins Obituary

Mark Griffin Haskins, III - SAVANNAH - Mark Griffin Haskins, III, 3, passed April 7, 2013 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born in Macon, Georgia, son of Mark G. Haskins, Jr. and Mary McNaughton Haskins. Griffin was a happy, playful and spirited child. He loved sharks, Batman, Ninja Turtles, the beach, sports and especially his big sister, Francie. Griffin loved attending Wilmington Island Presbyterian Preschool where he was a delight to his teachers. Surviving are his parents, Mark and Mary Haskins of Savannah; sister, Francie Haskins of Savannah; maternal grandparents, Jim and Kathy McNaughton of Tybee Island; aunt and uncle, Katy and William Moretz of Savannah and their children, Henry and Emily; uncle and aunt, Danny and Carly Holliday and their children, Maddux and Maryn of Aurora, CO; maternal great grandmother, Louise Angermeier of Avon Park, FL; paternal great grandmother, Margie Barrington of Stockbridge, GA; paternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Manning Haskins of Macon, GA; many loving great aunts, uncles, cousins, and nanny, Jessica Edde and her husband, Mikey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mark G. Haskins and paternal grandmother, Gail Spencer. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend Andy Meeker. Pallbearers will be Jim McNaughton, William Moretz, Danny Holliday and Jacob Sigmon. Burial: Greenwich Cemetery. Remembrances: The Griffin Haskins Education Fund for his sister, Francie Haskins, C/O Kevin Beckwith, Merrill Lynch, 7414 Hodgson Memorial Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.
