Mr. Savannah - Matthew Allen Matthew Allen, 76 passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 9th at 11:00am First Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 4370 ACL Blvd., Savannah, GA. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Allen and Beatrice Allen. Matthew was loved by his siblings: one brother, the late James Williams and three sisters: the late Peggy Butts Hollis, the late Pearlie Mae Allen Cuyler, and the only surviving sibling: Margaret Jones. He worked in management for over 30 years at Carson Products Company (now L'Oreal USA) where he was able to combine his skills in chemistry, business, and leadership to launch a very successful and rewarding career. Matthew leaves behind the following: a dedicated and loyal wife, Loretta W. Allen. Son, Rolando Allen and daughter in-law, Sophia Owen-Allen. Daughter, Shamone Allen-Stephenson and son-in-law, Arlando Stephenson. Three granddaughters: Brianna Allen, Adriana Allen, and Iman Stephenson. A host of family members and friends.
