Michael Harte, age 18, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 11th, 2002. Michael was raised in Richmond Hill until the sixth grade when his family moved to East Cobb.
He was a 2020 graduate of Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia. Michael loved good music, concerts, haunted houses, and going to the movies. He was a strong athlete and followed in his brother's footsteps as an Oarsman, Rowing Crew for Atlanta Junior Rowing Association for four years. Most importantly, Michael was a child of God who shared the love of Jesus with many.
He was a hard worker and a gentleman who gave big hugs and sweet cards, opened doors for people, said Yes Mam and No Sir, and was always the first to offer a helping hand if it looked like someone needed it.
Michael enjoyed hiking, skateboarding, spending time with friends and family, and celebrating Christmas. Michael was the best son a parent could ask for, a brother who protected his baby sister, looked up to his big brother, and a true friend you could lean on.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Johnny Campbell and James Harte, Jr.
Michael is survived by his parents, Chrissy and Matt Campbell, Christopher Harte; his brother, Tristan Campbell and his sisters, Mary Kathryn Campbell and Makayla Parsons; his grandparents, Ennis and Lori Hager, Ron and Deborah Luebbert, Patricia Campbell, Debbie and Doug Ramsey; great-grandparents, Weldon and Virginia Hughes; aunts and uncles, Tommy Hager, Jessica Hager, Zane and Becky Campbell, Jim and Melody Young, Steve and Jessica Carbone, Jimmy and April Harte, Alan Ramsey; cousins, Olivia, Carter, Ella, and Mia Campbell, Hunter, Lane, Christian, and Colt Young, Cameron, Andrew, and Wesley Carbone, Taylor and Caroline Hager, James Patrick, Bella, and Blaise Harte; and many more family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Burnt Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tristan Campbell, Tommy Hager, Alec Shermer, Sam Womack, Lane Young, Hunter Young and Carter Campbell.

Hi Michaels family! I am one of Michaels friends back from East Cobb we were best friends in middle school and freshman year of high school and rowed together at AJRA! I just attended the funeral service via zoom and it really was a beautiful service. Pastor Mike, I think his name is, did an amazing job and so did Michaels father. Everything that was said during the service was absolutely true. Michael is a beautiful soul, and was one of my closest friends and helped me through so much. He really was the sweetest kid. One way I would describe him that I think everyone knows what I mean when I say this is Michael was exactly like a golden retriever. Yall might not be a golden family, but my family is and those dogs are just the happiest and sweetest dogs and light up an entire room. Everyone loves them. Plus they have red hair :) I sent Michael a long text which yall are welcome to read if you would like, it just talks about how much he meant to me and the things that I would've liked to tell him. I am praying so hard for your family, and I know Michael would not like to see us all being upset over him! He is having an absolute party with Jesus up in heaven right now, and is happy as can be :) He is free of any pain. Please reach out to me if there is anything I can do, I am praying for yall.
