To the Barnes Family,

Although I did not personally know Mr. Barnes, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest sympathy to your family. No doubt the loss of such a dear loved one will be felt by many. Long ago the faithful man Job asked if an able-bodied man died can he live again. The comforting answer is yes. Our God the Creator yearns to bring back to life those who have died. (Job 14:13-15) May this and the many other promises in God's word the Bible continue to comfort your family.

Mrs,Barnes,Hugh,Gretchen,Alan & Family,
I send my deepest sympathy to the Barnes family. I would always talk to Mr. Barnes in the mornings when he would come to the restaurant(Whitmarsh Island) as I was opening it up. He would be doing his usual duties in the office and we would just talk about different things going on. I always was impressed by how active he was at his age then. He was always so caring and very friendly to everyone.
On Friday when I received the call at work (Coroner's Office) , I was shocked and then I saw Gretchen at the grocery store Friday night and spoke with her. I know it was shocking to all, he will be missed by all who knew him. I will miss seeing him wave at me as I ride by his house. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Barnes, Hugh, Alan and family. I express my deepest sympathy to your great loss. During my time as an employee of Barnes, he went beyond his means to help those who needed it. He was there for me during my time of need. He will be missed by many, but lived a full life. Now he will live a better life with God the one that will help his family and many friends during this time. He will be missed by all. I never got the opportunity to thank him for serving our country. Thanks Bo, you were a great man, and your sons are following in your footsteps. God bless you all.

Mrs. Barnes, Hugh and Alan,
We loved Mr. Barnes. My mom, my sisters, my brother and our children all held him in high regard. He is the definition to us of what A Man is. He loved his family so much and showed us all how to live out that love. He knew that the little things were what was so important. He had a strength in him that taught you that hardship is what defines you. The world has so many unsung heros and Mr. Barnes, one of the most humble, did so much for us all that this world is a better place to have had him.

May we express our most sincere sympathy and heartfelt condolences for the loss of such a kind, gentle, pleasant and humble man whom we had the pleasure of meeting on several family events hosted by our dear friends Alan & Cynthia in their wonderful home. Many interesting stories were shared by Mr. & Mrs. Barnes, mostly at the expense of Alan which amused us all greatly!! We will be sorry not to see Bo at similar future events, but his memory will remain firmly fixed within all our hearts and his presence will be tangible around the picnic table. A great man, a great loss, a great sadness. Our prayers go out to all whose lives were blessed by his friendship and love. May he rest peacefully and may you all find comfort in happy memories of such a wonderful old man.

Mrs.Barnes, Hugh and Alan- words cannot express the loss you all have experienced. It was a shock to hear of your lost, I can honestly say in the 9 1/2 years I worked with the company Mr.Barnes was always personable and knew his employees. He appreciated his employees and respected them and in return EVERYONE respected and loved him dearly. He will be missed but everyone knows he is walking with the Lord smiling down on you all. God bless!

Our thoughts and prayers’ are with the Barnes family.

Bo, as we called him will be remembered for his charm, sense of humor and infectious smile. Yet, it is truly Nesbert’s undying love and devotion to his family that defines the man we have known, respected and loved. Even though there are no profound or clever words that can accurately depict what an immense person Nesbert was, we will always remember that enthusiastic, outgoing character that he possessed. Indeed, he was a true gentleman!

I will truly miss his greetings at church and his inquiring as to how many miles I “ran” this week.
