Ollie Porter Obituary

Mrs. Ollie M. Crosby Porter - SAVANNAH - Mrs. Ollie M. Crosby Porter, 84, died Tuesday at Riverview Health and Rehab in Savannah. The Evans County native lived in Bulloch County and moved to Savannah in 1943. She resided in Savannah most of her life. Mrs. Porter retired from Union Camp after 30 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Allen and Lizzie Jane Miles Crosby and her siblings, Mary Eunice Hopper, Levy Aulton Crosby, Essie Mae Crosby Woodrum and Lynnward Thomas Crosby. Surviving is a son, Tommy Henry Porter of Savannah; a grandson Carson Tommy Porter of Savannah; a brother in law, Bill Woodrum of Statesboro; a niece, Janice Diane Garland of Statesboro; a great nephew, Michael Grant of South Carolina and a great niece Lisa Marie Garland of Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00am in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Barry Balleck officiating. Interment will be in the Harville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Harville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 90 Harville Church Road, Brooklet, Ga. 30415.
